Designing Art Nouveau styled bronze and iron chandeliers based on Anthony Gall's plans into a building desinged by Kós Károly. The majolica of the dome are the work of Victor Vasarely.
In 2000, Tamás Grünberger received the Europa Nostra Award for the renovation of the chandelier.
According to the citation, the Elephant House was awarded the prize for the sensitive and precise restoration of an outstanding example of Hungarian Art Nouveau architecture, based on thorough scientific research, and for the "careful reconstruction" of the tower, which was destroyed in 1915.
